They wake us all up in the morning, but Juice 107.2’s Lou Nash and Alex Baker will be out almost past their bedtimes to help us host this year’s Christmas light’s switch-on event.
Taking to the stage in East Street from 5pm, on Thursday 16th November, Lou and Alex will be entertaining the crowds, introducing our talented local performers and drawing the all-important raffles, throughout the night.
We chatted to the dynamic duo to chat all things Christmas…
Hi Lou and Alex! What do you love most about Christmas in Brighton?
Lou: Late night shopping once the lights are switched on and the city feels all twinkly and magical!
Alex: A Christmas dip in the sea!
What are you looking forward to most about the Christmas lights switch-on?
Lou: The lights! Once they’re on you know Christmas has begun!
Alex: Wearing my new Christmas jumper!
We’ll look out for that Alex! We know it’s tough, but which is your favourite Christmas light?
Lou: #Fairy
Alex: Ding Dong
And finally; what do you want for Christmas?
Lou: Mulled wine and cheese!
Alex: A Life Bike membership
Brighton’s Christmas lights switch-on is an event organised by Brilliant Brighton (formed of 517 city centre businesses who collectively pay for the city to be lit up during the festive season) and is in association with Juice 107.2 and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice. This year’s Christmas lights are sponsored by Southern Water.
See Lou and Alex, plus our amazing acts and get excited as Brighton gears up for Christmas on Thursday 16th November in East Street, from 5pm!
