Enter Gallery sample sale raises £5,500 for Middle Street School
Enter Gallery recently held their highly-anticipated Sample Sale of limited edition and original artworks to raise money for Middle Street Primary School. The three day event attracted big crowds, and £5,500 was raised for the school.
The Sample Sale gives customers the chance to snap up framed and unframed artworks from leading contemporary artists like Pure Evil, Patrick Hughes, Eelus and Magnus Gjoen, with discounts of us to 75%.
As we speak, the government is cutting funding and bumping up costs for schools across the country. This leaves schools with no choice but to make cuts to their budgets, which has a significant impact on staffing, the curriculum and facilities.
Middle Street’s Head Teacher, Rob Cooper, said the following about what the proceeds will mean for the school:
‘Additional funding makes such a difference to the exciting things we can do in school for our children. The Enter Gallery Sample Sale will help us to turn our outdoor areas into a special green oasis in one of the busiest built-up areas of the city. This will support the well-being of our children and create a space we can be proud of.’
This annual event is the latest in a series of events that Enter Gallery have organised to raise funds for Middle Street Primary School. In past years, funds raised in conjunction with the event have gone towards employing a special needs teacher and renovating the school’s Arts Centre.
