Why rybka?

Rybka is taken from an old polish saying: rybka lubi pływać (the fish likes to swim), which relates to the tradition of eating pickled fish with a generous chaser of frozen vodka. Why? Because the fish likes to swim.

New to Brighton’s historic Lanes, RYBKA present the fish & chip shop this seaside city deserves. Promising to serve the perfect combination of classic fish & chips and great drinks, their fish will always be line caught and responsibly sourced & served alongside delicious triple cooked chips (not your classic pub chip, mind). Always with plenty of veggie and gluten-free options available too.

Working alongside their favourite breweries, both local and from around the world, RYBKA will be serving draft beers, pre-batched cocktails and organic and natural wines. Expect a great selection of coffee & loose leaf teas, non-alcoholic beers and drinks to go alongside your polish take on the classic fish & chips!
