Join the Brunswick Fine Wines team on a journey of discovery, exploring six pinot noirs from top producers from Oregon, Chile, Slovenia and more.
Pinot noir is arguably the most charismatic of all grape varieties, and without doubt, the hardest to get right. When it works, though, it’s sublime. No other grape has the same power of seduction, from its naturally delicate colour to the charming raspberry and cherry notes of a young pinot noir, through to the more gamey aromas that appear with age.
You’ll be tasting six pinot noirs made in different styles and geographies, so you can really see the difference that terroir and technique make to this delicate grape. Showcasing wines from the Pacific north-west and cooler areas of Chile, which bring a more velvety palate, riper fruit flavours and less herbal aromas than you’d find in European pinot noir. You’ll also try a wine from Slovenia, beloved by the sommeliers of top European restaurants such as The Fat Duck and Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester.
And of course, pinot noir is a key grape of champagne, so you’ll be kicking the evening off with a welcome glass of fine sparkling wine!
