Island Poké comes to Brighton

From the beaches of Hawaii to the shores of the South East coast, Island Poké opens their first seaside location in Brighton this summer.

Island Poké will be bringing their Fresh Pacific Flavours to Brighton this August, marking their 18th Island and the third of their UK portfolio outside of London. Following the successful launch in Edinburgh last month, this all-new Island is opening Wednesday 9th August at 38 West Street, positioned directly on the main stretch leading from Brighton station to the beachfront.

Island Poké will be serving up their healthy and nutritious superior farmed 100% Scottish salmon and sashimi grade tuna, chicken and with over 70% of their ingredients being plant-based their poké bowls and award-winning bao offer something for everyone.

Open for dine in, click & collect and delivery, from lunch through to dinner, poké fans can choose from a selection of house bowls on a fluffy sushi rice or green leaves base. These include the best-selling Yuzu Lomi Lomi Salmon featuring sashimi grade 100% Scottish salmon, mango mint salsa, edamame and yuzu dressing; the Teriyaki Tofu with smoked tofu, shiitake teriyaki dressing, edamame, pineapple chilli salsa, wakame seaweed and sesame seeds.

For those wanting to try their award-winning bao buns, choose between the Spicy Tuna, Yuzu Salmon, Korean BBQ Chicken and Miso Aubergine. With over 50,000 Build Your Own Bowl options and a new Hotbowls menu including Island Katsu and Pacific Coconut curry, they really are bringing an extra slice of paradise to Brighton.

To celebrate the opening, the team have collaborated with Boho Gelato a local artisan brand developing handmade Italian style ice cream, daily, in the heart of Brighton using local milk and cream. On opening day, the Island Poké team will be handing out free ice creams outside of their newly launched island. Passers-by will be able to taste a Miso Salted Caramel gelato, an exclusive flavour created just for the pacific flavour collaboration. Later, you will be able to find the flavour in one of three Boho Gelato stores.

Island Poké will also be running a series of giveaways and activities in the lead up to the launch featuring exclusive offers and promotions to neighbouring residents, both instore and online. Including 50% off House Bowls, instant win scratch cards with poké themed prizes and mini poké bowl samplings.

The Brighton opening will be shortly followed by multiple London openings across the Square Mile and a further regional opening in Bristol in early Autumn.

Island Poké Founder James Gould-Porter said: “There isn’t a better location to bring our Island vibes to than the foodie town of Brighton. Already a growing gastronomical hub, I’m confident the poké fans of the South East coast are ready to embrace our Fresh Pacific Flavours. We’re excited to be joining such a progressive food scene to deliver the full flavour factor with our healthy, nutritious and 70% plant based Poké bowls, Bao and all new Hotbowls”.
