On Sunday 25th June, Bagelman staff will be saddling up and joining other local cyclists to cycle 66,792 laps at the Preston Park Velodrome, with the aim of raising funds for the Brighton Housing Trust – a cause close to their hearts.
“We have set up a partnership with BHT through our new Pay It Forward scheme,” Bagelman’s Chloe Wallace, who will be taking part on the day, says. “Our customers now have the opportunity to pay for a bagel or coffee to be put on hold for a homeless person to come in and claim. All the profit made from the scheme gets sent straight to BHT.“
“We wanted to support BHT in any way we could so when we were told about their cycle challenge we were quick to sign up!”
The Bagelman team already have a core team of five getting ready to pound the pedals. So just how are they preparing?
“So far it’s a lot of mental preparation,” Chloe who works in Communications, explains. “I’ve got myself a bike and am planning to cycle as much as I can before the event. I’d love to be able to cycle for 2 hours straight when it comes to the event day!”
“BHT are an incredible charity that are doing so much for the homeless community in Brighton and Hove. Any amount of money donated will help their great cause. Better yet sign up yourself and join in the fun! Let’s cycle around the world together! Race ya!”
Good luck to Chloe and the Bagelman team!
