Summer has arrived and Brighton looks even more blooming beautiful than usual – thanks to the 517 businesses who make up the Business Improvement District (also known as Brilliant Brighton), dressing the city.
As well as the colourful bunting and eye-catching banners (each depicting one of Brighton’s iconic attractions) adorning streets all across the city, hanging baskets are also now in place – brightening up Brighton for the season for residents and guests alike to enjoy.
The vibrancy of Brilliant Brighton’s beautiful hanging baskets have attracted attention from the prestigious South and South East in Bloom campaign. So much so, judges will be visiting Brighton on Friday 29th June to see the city’s floral displays for themselves. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in September.
“There’s nowhere quite like Brighton, especially in the summer,” CEO for Brilliant Brighton, Gavin Stewart says. “We want our city centre to make a lasting impression on holidaymakers and daytrippers, who are contributing £815 million to the local economy, as well as brightening up the streets for local residents.”
“We’re thrilled to be entered for this year’s South and South East in Bloom competition. Green fingers crossed that the judges agree how marvellous Brighton looks and that we win Best Business Improvement District!”
