Brilliant Brighton’s festive afternoon, taking place on Saturday 2nd December (2-6pm) aims to spread a little Christmas cheer and celebrate Small Business Saturday throughout the city centre! As well as having festive helpers visiting businesses and giving out goodies, a brass band and Christmassy performers will be popping up across Brilliant Brighton further adding to the festive feel.
The event also sees the return of the popular window dressing competition, following the success of last year’s competition – which saw over 1000 votes cast by members of the public for their favourite businesses’ window. Be sure to vote for your favourite and you could win a £150 Brilliant Brighton gift card to be spent locally, in a prize draw!
The festive afternoon will also be illuminated by Brilliant Brighton’s Christmas lights – paid for by the 517 businesses within Brilliant Brighton (these will twinkle up the city centre streets from mid-November), further adding to the magic.
“While the lights will be twinkling up city centre streets from the evening of 17th November, our Festive Afternoon on Sat 2nd Dec (also marking Small Business Saturday) celebrates our Brilliant Brighton Christmas lights – a generous gift to the city from our city centre businesses, and a magical backdrop to the event,” Shelley Welti, Marketing & Events Manager for Brilliant Brighton says. “We hope they bring a smile to people’s faces as they shop, dine and enjoy our city centre during the festive period!”
