On Saturday (19/11/22) the team installing the city’s festive lighting central piece at the Clock Tower ceiling have discovered an issue with the holding bar on the West Street facing side of the clock.
While a new bar is fabricated, the other three sides of the clock tower canopy will be in place. We hope to get it all up and running by 26th/27th November.
Gavin Stewart from Brighton BID said, “This is the central crown of our annual Christmas lighting display and it’s a real shame that we can’t launch the full scheme as hoped. Public safety is of course our paramount objective, and we look forward to rectifying the issue quickly.”
The full scheme will still be switched on during Brilliant Brighton’s Festive afternoon today.
