February Fiver Fest comes to Brighton & Hove

If every adult in Brighton & Hove spent just £5 per week in their local independent shops and businesses, it would mean an extra £56.7 million per year going into our local economy – which means more jobs, a better high street, a stronger economy and a nicer place to live.

Independent traders in Brighton and Hove will be taking part in the city’s first Fiver Fest between 15-29th February 2020, by offering amazing £5 offers!

What is the Fiver Fest?

Independent shops and services in towns and cities across the UK take part by offering something for £5. It’s an incentive to spend locally and promote thinking about spending in your community to support independent business.

Strength in numbers

It takes place nationally three times a year: Participating towns all over the country run the festival on the same dates. This increases awareness at a national level, that shopping small supports independent business and breathes new life into our neighbourhoods.

It’s run by totallylocally.org and this is what they have to say: “The Totally Locally Fiver Fest is a celebration of Britain’s independent businesses and shops, many run by families or individuals, but ALL contributing massively to the economy of the UK and the wellbeing of our towns”.
