OG Kicks to open new Brighton sneaker store on Monday!

There’s a new kid on the block, opening a brand new OG Kicks store on Brighton’s Bond Street on 12 April. The bright, modern shop will allow customers to buy, sell and trade premium trainers and streetwear from leading brands.

Owner, Ryan Jackson, 21, started selling reloved trainers online in 2017 from his bedroom. With an entrepreneur spirit and passion for sneaker culture, he decided to open a small retail store in Trafalgar Street, Brighton in March 2020. Unfortunately it had to close three weeks later due to Covid-19 lockdown. But this is a good news story, and over the summer it became really popular with locals and tourists. Despite further lockdowns Jackson remains optimistic, and took the decision to move to bigger and better premises on Bond Street.

He said, “It’s been a tough year, but we have survived and are really excited about opening in a fantastic new location. Brighton is definitely the right place for us – it’s got a great city vibe, but is not too big, so you can still have a sense of community. And what I love about my job is talking to lots of interesting people.”

Jackson added, “When we open our doors on Monday we hope people will be blown away. We’ve got some amazing stock, from the just-released Mochas to 2017 Off White x Nike Collabs and our streetwear brands include Stone Island, CP Company and The North Face. But we don’t just sell great products, we also sell an experience. You can’t beat the buzz of fellow sneakerheads in-store.”

The company offers a unique proposition on the south coast as people can not only buy, but also bring in their items to sell and trade. They look for good condition authentic footwear and streetwear, as well as new limited edition items and sold-out sought after sneakers. Customers benefit from a wide choice of good-value exclusive apparel and great customer service.

OG Kicks will open seven days a week, 11am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
