‘WELCOME TO BRIGHTON’ 2016 BANNER COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED

A massive well done and thank you to all those who eagerly sent in their designs for the “Welcome to Brighton” Banner Competition for 2016.

The task was to create a poster showing the city in its most colourful and vibrant form with many entries including iconic Brighton landmarks such as Brighton Pier, the West Pier, the Brighton Wheel, the Pavilion, and a new favourite for 2016 – the i360.

After receiving a huge amount of artwork from schools across the city, 84 winners have been chosen whose work will be made into banners and displayed along Western Road and North Street in the centre of Brighton.

The banners will hang from early May, in time for the Festival and Children’s Parade, until September filling the city with colour and imagination.

The competition is sponsored by local radio station Juice 107.2 and Identity Group.

The competition is run by Brighton’s Business Improvement District, Brilliant Brighton, a collection of 517 businesses in Brighton City Centre who have come together to help make Brighton a great place to visit, work and live in. For more information about all our projects, visit us here.

All of this year’s winning entries are available to view on our Facebook page.
