A bit about the Brilliant Brighton lights
Our magical Christmas lights are a gift paid for by the 517 Brilliant Brighton businesses that make up a large part of our city centre. The street art-inspired lights will light up North Street and Western Road, while lights celebrating the uniqueness of North Laine will sparkle in Bond Street, Gardner Street and Kensington Gardens; and more traditional lighting will add a magical, festive feeling to The Lanes, East Street, Preston Street and Brighton’s iconic Clock Tower.
Artist Spotlight: Bintley
Describing themselves as ‘an alien artist that crash landed into Brighton’, Bintley’s artworks disrupt our world as psychedelic portals featuring a variety of abstract, fantastical, psychedelic and space-themed imagery.
All of Bintley’s artwork is handmade and created using a mixture of aerosols, acrylic paints and art pens, with each piece designed to be UV or blacklight reactive but also remain fully visible in normal daylight.
Working across a multitude of surfaces from canvas to large-scale murals across pub gardens and building walls, Bintley’s work is sure to make anyone feel transported to another dimension.
