While dining out in the usual style may be off the table this Valentine’s Day, lovers in lockdown can fuel their passion for delicious Mexican street food with two specially-created menus from Wahaca that are just right for a romantic evening at home. Lovingly designed to pair perfectly with Wahaca’s new bottled Passion fruit margarita, and with desserts on the house for a seductively sweet finish, the menus will be available via takeaway, click & collect and Deliveroo from 11th – 14th February.
The Valentine’s Set Menu for two (£45) is a feast of fresh, vibrant street food, taking in much-loved Wahaca classics including Pork pibil tacos, Buttermilk chicken tacos – both made using free range British meat – and a Sweet potato & feta taquito, as well as the new Grilled Halloumi ‘al pastor’ tacos and some delicious side dishes, meaning that there’s more than enough to enjoy with other halves! A Veggie Valentine’s Set Menu for two (£45) is also available, with Plantain tacos and Mushroom & feta tacos among the delights for couples sharing the meat-free love on the 14th. Both options include a complimentary dessert that’s perfect to devour as a duo – Wahaca’s signature Churros with a choice of rich chocolate sauce or decadent dulce de leche.
Shake up the Valentine’s passion and pair your street food feast with Wahaca’s new Passion fruit margarita (£8.75) – a fruity mix of Gran Centenario Plata tequila, passion fruit puree and lime juice that’s bottled, chilled and ready to pour over ice and enjoy. Or raise a loving toast with a bottle of Mumm Cordon Rouge champagne (£50) – now available on Wahaca’s Deliveroo menu to mark the most romantic day of the year.
And if music be the food of love, play Wahaca’s lovingly-curated Valentine’s Day playlist, accessed via a QR code on the takeaway bag. It’s the ideal soundtrack to a romantic evening of Mexican deliciousness – ¡Feliz día de los enamorados!
