Brighton’s newest art gallery, Liberation, is offering a variety of creative workshops for artists of all levels.
Enhance your skills, try something new or simply join for some creative fun.
A Stitch in Time – slow stitching as a way to process grief (21st Feb – 28th Mar)
Its a patchwork/quilting workshop where people would treasure and reuse scraps of fabric (could be general fabrics or old clothes from loved one who has passed away), attendees would also work with a registered therapist to process their grief in a controlled environment.
Price – £350 for 6 week programme
Experimental Printmaking (22nd Feb – 1st Apr)
during course attendees will have a chance to experiment with different screen printing and relief printing processes. This workshop also focuses on mental wellbeing and health.
Price – £180 for 6 week programme
Music & Painting (23rd Feb – 30th Mar)
Throughout the weeks attendees will create pieces of art whilst exploring techniques and tools throughout – there is an exhibition in the gallery space once the workshop is completed.

Crochet with guardian & child (24th Feb – 31st Mar)
The guardian & child pair will create a crochet bunting (which has dual functionality), each week the pair will create new additions to the bunting!
Price – £160 for 6 week programme
Sip N’ Paint (every Friday evening from 7pm)
a drink in one hand and a paintbrush in the other and when you’re all done youll be able to take your creation home with you!
Price – £25 per person
Ragdoll & sockdoll workshop for guardian & child (25th Feb – 1st Apr)
Attendees will learn the steps to make a ‘portable’ friend. each week we will work together on how to create the ragdoll/sock monkey.

Watercolour: the magic within (26th Feb – 2nd Apr)
This will be an indepth series of watercolour classes. suitable for both beginners and those wanting to further their understanding and enjoyment of watercolour.
Price – £200 for 6 week programme
Felt animal workshop (27th Feb – 3rdApr)
learn the slow art of needle felting to create an adorable woodland character (squirrel, rabbit or fox). Perfect for beginners
