Every February, Snoopers Paradise sits at the centre of a collection of love stories formed around the rhythms of the market.
For Valentine’s Day, Brighton’s biggest indoor market is sharing a small selection of those stories, from couples who work there day in, day out, to regular customers who have celebrated milestones at Snoopers Paradise, as well as those who chose the market as part of their wedding photographs.
Among this year’s stories are Tanya and Colin, who both run stalls on the Snoopers Paradise forecourt. They met just a couple of doors down from the market and now work side by side almost every day, with Snoopers forming part of their shared routine.
Also featured is Kim, a long-standing Snoopers Paradise stallholder (Stall 31), who recently married her partner after 43 years together. Her story reflects the quieter, long-term relationships that sit behind the scenes of the market, and the lives built around it over time.
Jenny Hurren from Snoopers Paradise said: “Every February we’re reminded that Snoopers isn’t just somewhere people shop – it’s somewhere people spend time, return to, and build memories around. These stories come back to us year after year, often without us ever setting out to collect them.”
Alongside these stories, February at Snoopers Paradise is used to reflect the many ways people connect with the market, whether through shared routines, a love of the space itself, strong aesthetic preferences, or simply time spent browsing together.
Images from the Love Stories of Snoopers Paradise series are being shared on Snoopers Paradise’s Instagram account.
